Retrograde are a three piece alternative rock band from the North East of England formed in the spring of 2013. Headed by sixth form students Jack Laing and Tom Scrimshaw, they wanted a different sound to the 80's inspired metal they played in their previous band prior to Retrograde. Fueled by bands such as Biffy Clyro and Muse for inspiration, they went on the hunt for a bassist to form the three piece they so desired. After tireless weeks without luck the missing link had been under their noses the whole time as they recruited highschool, and fellow college friend, Connor Thewlis to provide the slap. Connor, having previously played both drums and guitar picked up the bass quickly.

 

In July 2013 after weeks of recording good albeit cheap recordings, they decided to take the step of recording their single 'Fictionary' for their EP to be released October 2013. You can listen to the official single on the media section of the website.
